Meet Elizabeth Leddy. She has been a Marketing Manager at Loup for 3 years. Before Elizabeth originally interviewed at Loup’s parent company Union Pacific Railroad about 9 years ago, she knew almost nothing about the railroad. “I applied at Union Pacific because I had just obtained my MBA with a specification in Marketing and Sales and wanted to utilize those skills. All I knew was UP’s excellent reputation and history and wanted the opportunity to work there,” she said. “Nine years later, it’s still one of the best decisions I’ve made.”

In her position, Elizabeth handles pricing transportation solutions, analyzes the market, and does contract development for products such as wind, food, frac sand, grain, and fertilizer.

On a day-to-day basis, Elizabeth:

  • Works through customer rate requests
  • Analyzes different markets
  • Reviews, develops, and executes customer contracts
  • Supports the sales team to grow and develop business

Specifically in our current challenging environment, Elizabeth finds it extremely rewarding to know she and the rest of her department are helping build the economy. Her team at Loup works to deliver products to customers and the US consumer on a regular basis. “I love that I am able to be creative and have the support of my team to take risks however off the wall they may be.”

In her free time, Elizabeth focuses on her nine-month-old and three-year-old sons. On top of that, she is very active in politics and works to be involved locally. She also loves a fine wine!.
